The second edition of the World of Fireplaces (WOF) in Leipzig is just around the corner and promises to inspire the fireplace industry once again.
With an increase in exhibition space, over 325 exhibitors from all over the world – including numerous newcomers – as well as leading representatives from business, politics and associations, the international trade fair from April 28 to 30, 2025 will impressively demonstrate why it is considered “the fireplace to be”.
Innovations, networking and a varied program that focuses on the important topics of the sector make WOF an important meeting place for the industry. With a mixture of historical architecture, culture and modern infrastructure, Leipzig offers the ideal setting.

The World of Fireplaces (WOF) will open its doors for the second time at the exhibition grounds in Leipzig in just a few weeks’ time. From 28 to 30 April 2025, a comprehensive and varied program that meets the high expectations of experts will be presented alongside the attractive products.
A lot has happened in the fireplace industry since the extremely successful premiere two years ago: new legal requirements and stricter regulations present companies with challenges, but at the same time open up scope for innovative solutions and technical progress. The industry is in a phase of change, and the need for exchange, inspiration and practical solutions is greater than ever.
This awakening is impressively reflected in the number of bookings: over 325 companies and brands – an increase of 35% compared to 2023 – have already confirmed their participation. In order to meet the increased demand, the exhibition space in the exhibition hall has been expanded by an impressive 37% to 20,000 square meters.
This development is welcomed not only by trade fair organizer Trendfairs GmbH, but also by the German Association for House, Heating and Kitchen Technology (HKI). Frank Kienle emphasizes its importance as a central B2B event. “(…) With WOF, we are combining tradition and innovation, offering a central dialog platform for the industry and political discourse with the HUB. Personal exchange is at the heart of the event. In this way, we all work together to ensure that our companies and consumers act in a more climate-friendly way. (…) We are all looking forward to an exciting time at the trade fair!”
Fireplace HUB: Associations act together for the industry – a strong signal
The Fireplace HUB forms the communicative heart of the World of Fireplaces and acts as a central platform for presentations, interactive discussions and networking during the trade fair. It not only serves as a stage for specialist topics and the exchange of experiences, but also as a key contact point for political dialog. The focus here is on personal encounters and direct interaction between players from business, politics and associations and trade visitors.

It is a particular success to bring together important industry associations on this platform – a clear signal of the cohesion and strength of the sector. The participating associations include the German Firewood Association, the German Biomass Research Center (DBFZ), the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR), the European Fireplaces Association (EFA), the German Stove Builders’ Association (GVOB), the German Association of House, Heating and Kitchen Technology (HKI), the German Chimney Sweep Association (ZIV) and the Straubing Technology and Promotion Center (TFZ).
The focus is on issues and trends that are currently affecting the industry. Every day, visitors can look forward to a varied program with presentations and discussions on topics such as security of supply, hybrid heat, emission reduction and particulate matter, trade issues, specialist topics from the associations, energy and innovations.
The program will be communicated daily on the WOF website before and during the event: www.world-of-fireplaces.de/all-about-the-exhibition/fireplace-hub/
From indoor fireplaces to outdoor trends: pioneering technologies and innovative solutions from exhibitors
WOF 2025 brings together international industry leaders, innovative SMEs and visionary newcomers from all over the world and offers visitors exclusive insights into the latest product innovations and technologies in the world of fireplaces that will have a lasting impact on the market.
“We are looking forward to participating in WORLD OF FIREPLACES 2025, where we will showcase our craftsmanship, connect with industry leaders and develop new ideas. Let’s shape the future of fire together!” explains Michel Di Piazza, CCO of Metalfire.
The product range includes pellet, tiled and storage stoves, electric fireplaces and stoves, decorative fireplaces, stoves and barbecues, flue gas systems, boiler, separation and control technology as well as fuel, bricks and fireclay.
The range is complemented by software for smart homes and system control as well as various suppliers and accessory suppliers. “The WORLD OF FIREPLACES has become a unique meeting place for the industry. We will be back again in 2025 and look forward to exciting discussions with the industry,” says Bjarne Varre from Nordpeis.

The growing area of outdoor fireplaces is strongly represented this year. Exhibitors will be showing how outdoor fireplaces – whether on terraces, in gardens or hotel complexes – can achieve a new dimension of elegance and functionality.
The energy transition is one of the dominant topics in the industry, and WOF is responding to this development with the special show “Hybrid Heat”. Heating systems that combine conventional and renewable technologies will be presented here. From wood-burning stoves with modern heat exchange technology to combinations with solar and photovoltaic systems: the variety of solutions is impressive.
